On Monday, 30th May 2022, a team from the National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office led by the National Coordinator Apera Iorwakwagh made a call on the Statistician General of the National Bureau of Statistics Prince Adeyemi Adeniran.

Discussions focused on increased collaboration between both organizations.
NASSCO and the NBS already work collaboratively on a number of fronts. One such key area of collaboration is around the National Living Standard Survey (NLSS) conducted by the NBS in 2019. The report of the NLSS serves as tool used to measure the level of poverty in the country. This survey drew funding under the National Social Safety Nets Project (NASSP).

More recently, NASSCO and NBS are collaborating on the Multi-dimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Survey which will speak to the various poverty deprivations in the country and help Government formulate policies and actions to tackle them
