Community and Social Development Project CSDP

The Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) is the national flagship project that provides grants for human capital development of communities and vulnerable groups to enable them to embark on various development agenda. Its main areas of focus are in the following sectors; Education, Health, Rural Electrification, potable water supply, Transportation, Socio-economic development, environment/natural resources and community housing.

The project employs Community Driven Development (CDD) approach in deploying the project resources for social and natural resource infrastructural services to benefiting communities and vulnerable groups.

The project is assisted by the World Bank and co-financed by the Federal government and the participating states of:

CSDP is a Community-Driven Development (CDD) Project focusing on building and rebuilding social and natural resource infrastructure services at the community level.

The overall goal of the CSDP is to improve access to services for Human development, while the Project Development Objective is to sustainably increase access of poor people to social and natural resource infrastructure services.
